Q: How do you kasher a device made up of different parts?
A: First separate the pieces and clean well & we’ll kasher it.
Q: How do you kasher the sink?
A: Clean the sink drains and tap strainer thoroughly & we’ll kasher it.
Q: Do kasherd items need to be toiveled/wash (טבילה)?
A: Depends on the status of the keilim/utensils. If never previously toiveled it has to be done.
Q: Can you kasher the oven trays/shelves?
A: Only if you own a self-cleaning oven is it possible.
Q: In which situations do you cover the surfaces/elec. appl.?
A: Old surfaces with large holes. Fan extractor: after thorough cleaning ‘’kasher me now’’ covers the fan with
thick foil.
Q: How long does the process take?
A: Between 2-5 hours.
Q: What do we use for kashering?
A: Mainly hot water and a little use of fire (burner).
